Please sign this petition to help protect the ESA. (Endangered Species Act) Watch the YouTube video linked down below to learn more information about future & past endangered species, and the continuous problems surrounding the protection of the ESA. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help. Share this with your friends, family-- please share it everywhere on any social media platform you can. As soon as I was finished watching the video I couldn't help but get on this as soon as possible. I started sharing it & writing about it anywhere I could, and this is a place where I knew I could. If I get any information wrong, it's because I literally just learned about this & rushed into into sharing it, I apologize in advance.

Writing on petition:
President Nixon, a Republican, signed The Endangered Species Act (ESA) into law in 1973. The ESA provides for the conservation and protection of ecosystems upon which threatened and endangered species of fish, plants, and wildlife depend.
Republicans in Congress are targeting the Endangered Species Act for repeal. Their goal is to place the mining, drilling, and logging industries above the interests of the planet that sustains us all.
Repealing the ESA has been a Republican goal for decades. Over the past 8 years alone, they’ve pushed dozens of bills attempting to rollback the law or exclude specific species from its protection -- all with the goal of opening up their various habitats for logging, oil & gas development, or massive water relocation projects. All of those efforts have been stopped in the past.
The Endangered Species Act (ESA) has been one of our nation's most effective and important environmental laws. Repealing the ESA to allow industry to exploit vital habitats would be extremely detrimental to the ecosystems supporting some of the most vulnerable species of plants, wildlife, and fish in our nation.
But Republicans believe otherwise. In fact, the Republican chairman of the House Natural Resource Committee Rob Bishop has said of the ESA: "It has never been used for the rehabilitation of species. It's been used for control of the land." He went on to say that he "would love to invalidate" the law.
President Trump hasn’t taken a specific position on this rollback effort -- that’s why it’s important that we send a message to him and the Republican-dominated Congress right now. Please sign and share this petition today and help us say ‘Hands off the Endangered Species Act’!
