Ⅰ. What is Viprin?
"Viprin Drawing's Editor" or better known as Viprin, it's a tool which was created for thee Transformice's map makers back then in 2013. This allows you to create drawings line-based making them suitable for the in-game map editor through an XML.
Ⅱ. What is it for?
As said, it's a tool which allows you to create art maps in a much more effective way rather than using only regular platforms as wood, ice, etc. Because it allows you to use colourful lines with different sizes and you may use an image as base in order to make your job much easier.
Ⅰ. Open the Viprin's Drawing Editor, you can do it by searching it as "Viprin's Drawing's Editor" or clicking here. Once in, click on Settings, Background Properties and write in the URL of the image you want to create the map of. Also it is highly recommended to disable all the Show "start cross" [ S ] options in the settings for making the drawing easier later.
Ⅱ. Most likely when the image loads, it's size will be disproportionated, in other words, the size won't be suitable for the map editor. Therefore, you will have to use the two options that the Drawing Editor gives you:
*Tips:
1. imgAlpha: 100 - As you make this number bigger or lower, the image will show more or less shaded. Giving you a better vision for the drawing.
2. imgZoom: 1.0 - As you make this number bigger or lower, the image will show more or less bigger. Giving you the ability to make the size of the drawing as you'd like.
For moving the image you would have to press the I key and at the same time click over the picture.
Ⅲ. Mark, once you got the picture well positioned, you will start to mark the drawing. It's recommended to do this with black colour and 2 of size.
You may use the Zoom which is in the top left corner of the editor.
*Tips: For moving inside of the editor, you will have to press space and click at the same time over anywhere on the editor.
Ⅳ. Once finished the marking, it's painting time. For painting, it's necessary to use the layers.
Now you gotta paint, personally I recommend the following program which allows you to see the exact colour code of the picture. You may download it by clicking here.
If you don't want to use any programs, you may use the colours you please. In the following example I will use the program. For seeing the exact colours you should reverse the shade you made at the start. It will look like this:
Depending where you place your mouse you will be able to see the exact colour, in this case the mice's fur colour is 705130, therefore where you putted the black colour now you will put the colour you need. Now you can paint all of that colour in the second layer. Also, if you want, you may change the shade as you like for this. Furthermore, you can change the marker's size in order to paint faster.Click here!
Ⅴ. Once finished painting, click on Save/load and press on Generate XML (Recommended) or Generate XML with compressing, both of them work but the compressing one compresses the file in order to make it lighter. In case your drawing it's 20kb or less you may copy and paste the XML in the map editor:Click here!
Otherwise, if your file is 20kb+, like mine (46,4kb) you will have to do the following:Click here!
Ⅵ. In the editor nothing will show up until you place any platform on it. Even though the drawing will never show up in the editor it may be hard to make the art solid, but it won't be impossible at all.Click here!
