IntroCommonly Asked QuestionsGeneral Forum Guide

  • Welcome to the forums! This FAQ was created as a guide on how to use the forums, as well as a place to ask any questions you may have related to them.
First, before posting on the forums please make sure to read the rules of the forums.
You will also find rules for every subforum at the top of each subforum with the words 'Information and Guidelines' in the title.
Please make sure to read those as well.

If you are experiencing any bugs, or have any suggestions related to the forums, please post in the Forum Bugs and Suggestions section.
Be sure to check if a thread has already been made about your issues or ask a Sentinel about your problem before creating a new one!

Any questions not related to MiceForce should be posted here.
Feel free to ask any questions related to the forums here!

    Happy posting!

  • Q. How do I post an image?
To post a image, you will first need to upload the image to a image hosting-site, or find a image on the web.
    I recommend using
PostImage, as it gives you the easy option to embed the image in a forum message link, as shown by the image below.
If you copy and paste the direct link into the textbox, your image will appear in your post.

For sites such as Imgur, when your image has uploaded, you will need to copy the link and do something a little differently. As shown below, you'll have to click the 3 dots and click "Media".
Clicking on it will bring up a textbox where you can insert a URL to an Imgur link. Doing so will result in the image appearing in your post.
This can also be used for gifs and the other medias listed in the pop-up!

    Q. How do I report a post, thread, or profile?
When reporting, you will need to submit a reason for reporting the post. Once you have done this, press Report.
    • To report a post which you think is rule-breaking, look at the bottom of the post from the user and click "Report".
    • To report a thread which you think is rule-breaking, the best way of doing this is reporting the opening post (often referred to as the "OP") (same way as above).
    • To report a profile, go to the user's profile, look in the top right corner and click Report.

    Q. How do I use BB Coding?
You've come to the right place! Just check out the BB Coding tab found on this thread.
It includes information on how to use BB Coding, as well as including examples on how they look.

    Q. How do I post a video?
Same as how you post an image from Imgur! Referring to the image above, you click the 3 dots when creating a message and click Media.
Here you can post the link to the YouTube video and it will automatically convert it, so once your message is posted, the YouTube video will be shown.
The video can also be playable on the forum page itself!

    Q. How do I get an avatar?
Getting an avatar is pretty easy! All you have to do is find an image you would like to have as your avatar, and save it onto your computer.
(It is recommended that you use an image that is at least 400x400 pixels.) Once you do so, go to your profile and scroll over where there should be a photo with a letter on it.

This is your default profile picture, but in-game the default is shown as a mouse. You should see an area that says "Edit Avatar" and clicking it will bring up this box:
Clicking the "Browse..." will bring up your File Explorer where you can choose your image from your folders and upload it.
You can also drag the icon shown above if you'd like it to show a different area of the photo then the default.
If this process still confuses you, you can also read this thread by our Moderator Director Neutrons here.

    Q. How do I use the Search feature?
Using the search feature, is pretty simple, but can get confusing.
To find the search feature, look in the top right corner next to "Alerts" and click "Search", it should bring up a box that looks like this:

In the searchbar you can type in any keywords you're looking for.
If you click the dropdown labeled "Everywhere" you can choose whether you want to look in the certain thread your in, the subforum, or the threads within the subforum.
This all varies on where you are when you click the Search Button and whether that button will even be there. The checkbox is if you want to search the titles of threads only or not.
If you know the member who made the thread, or wrote the message, then you can put their user in the box. Clicking Advanced search will bring you to a whole different page.
It makes the searching more specific if you're looking for an exact message or an exact thread, etc. All the details there are self-explanatory, but if you do have trouble, feel free to ask.

  • The main bulk of the forums are... the forums themselves, surprisingly! There are lots of features to take into consideration.

The first thing to note is the board index; it has a lot of boards and they're all categorized.
International, Communities and Archives have their own forum categories, so the threads can be organized more clearly.
